Whole Wheat Crackers


  • 1 cup whole wheat flour + 3 tbsp for rolling
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil + 2 tbsp for brushing
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • water as needed see video
  • 1 tsp Mitmita
  • 1 tsp baking soda awesome for added crunch
  • 1 tsp freshly ground timiz or black pepper and bessobila (basil)


  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees F
  • Add the flour, Olive oil, honey, mitmita, backing soda, salt, and pepper to the bowl mix until all comes together.
  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out the cracker dough to ½ inch thick then cut with a sharp knife into squares. or circles.
  • Poke them with fork or dough perforator to create air release holes.
  • Mix the 2 tsp olive oil with timiz and bessobila and brush it on.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool completely before tasting and storing.


  • Backing soda will make them extra crunchy, make sure your oven is 500 F so they don't rise or inflate. 
  • Put a pot with water in your over for added crunch.
